The mission of the Double Eagle Elementary School (DEES) Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is to positively impact the lives of all children and families within our community. We strive to support & advocate for our children by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe & healthy learning environment that can allow our students to excel personally, academically and socially.

Supporting Our Community
Double Eagle Elementary traditionally has the largest PTA in New Mexico. As empowered parents and guardians, we work with school leadership to ensure that students and teachers have access to support that is aligned with school leadership goals.
Educational Enrichment
We fundraise to offset budget shortfall at the district level. Through strategic planning, the Double Eagle PTA is able to supplement critical education programs and address the needs of our students. From training on the latest technology to new educational methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.
Thoughtful Fundraising
Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students and their families have the necessary support to do their best learning. Community building events occur both on campus and throughout Albuquerque, and events are communicated regularly through Principal Kagan’s weekly newsletter.
School Advocacy
Being an advocate for students means fighting to support, guide, and encourage learners of all abilities, backgrounds, and needs in the classroom so that they can flourish at Double Eagle.
Advocacy can help to: create awareness, encourage people to take action, drive social change, address critical issues in education, and ensure that all students have the support they need.
