Special Education
Special education advocacy is the act of giving a voice to the needs of children with special education needs.
Advocates can help families and students by advising parents on programs, services, and accommodations for their children.
Some ways to advocate for students with special needs include:
Keeping the child at the center of everything
Learning about special education and what it means for the child
Getting to know the child's team
-
Healthy Habits
Healthy habits for elementary students include: eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, drinking water regularly, getting regular physical activity, sufficient sleep, practicing good hygiene like handwashing, brushing teeth twice a day, limiting screen time, and developing a positive attitude towards learning and self-care.
We have a resource network to guide parents as they search for additional support.

Inclusive Learning
Inclusive elementary schools are places where all students are valued and have equal access to educational opportunities, regardless of their race, gender, learning style, ability, or other characteristics. Inclusive schools are committed to the idea that all students are members of the classroom community, and that their membership is not based on behavior or readiness.
